After studying drawing and painting at edinburgh college of art alasdair became involved with various aspects of the art sector from arts management to curating.
Simultaneously he began to create large charcoal drawings portraying the dynamism and energy of sporting events, with an emphasis on equine sports. His expressive style is unique in this area and has awarded him great success. collaborations with well-known sports events such as olympia international Horse Show in 2000, and residencies such as at glorious goodwood and the festival of speed in west sussex, have enlivened the popularity of his work.
Alasdair established the charitable enterprise ‘fine art live’ where he produces artwork under the public gaze, bringing his energetic personality to the fore, to create an unique artistic experience at charitable events.
