Glaswegian paul bell studied a foundation course with glasgow school of art at A young age. Unable to fund further full time courses, paul entered a career in interior design and attended part time classes to supplement his artistic output.
Paul forged a 20 year career in Architectural and Interior illustration and was awarded a diploma membership to the Society of industrial artists and designers. in 2012 however he returned to painting the highlight of which has been an appearance on the BBC’s ‘The BIG painting challenge’ for amateur artists in 2015. Paul won the competition and has since had two works hang at Tate Britain.
paul is known for his bold use of colour and attention to light and shade creating warmth and depth in his paintings.
